Default Simple Question regarding weapon mod

I have a W/R who has just got a gold sword which has +15% damage mod "while enchanted".

Simple question...how do I become enchanted so that I can access the mod? I have no enchantment spells etc to do this. Do I have to carry something on me? If so, what?

Comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Warriors and Rangers don't have any enchantments.

Elementalists, Monks, Necromancers, ritualists, dervishs, and mesmers all have enchantments.

Thanks Ret X

I thought that was the case. So, I guess that I can't get the benefit of the mod? Wonder why it is there if no Warrior can get the benefit of enchantments to activiate the mod?

Oh well, it is still a max damage sword with other mods...I'll keep using it but I might customise it instead.

have a monk cast vigorous spirit on you or something when you really need that extra 15% for a boss or something or, if the enemy is one of the above listed professions, he will most likely cast an enchantment on you and the mod will kick in.

One other thing you could do is change your subjob (when you get far enough through the campaign you are on - Nightfall is the easiest one to get to this point) to Elementalist - stick Shocking & of Enchanting mods on the sword (does lightning damage & make enchantments last up to 20% longer) then just use the enchantment [skill]Conjure Lightning[/skill] which will give you the +15% while enchanted AND add 1..17 lightning damage to each hit depending on how many points you put in Air Magic. There are plenty of suggested builds for this out there.

If you're a Warrior you could do what 95% of all other warriors do and go W/Mo and use Mending. It makes you invincible after all.
